How It Works

If you want to become a confident and fluent speaker in real-life situations – then the more real-life practice you get, the better!

When you practice with others you learn cultural nuances, you hear different accents, and you get valuable real-time feedback. Because of this, practicing with others is an effective way to sound more natural.

Our goal is to give you a place to practice speaking English so you can sound more natural and confident.

All you need to know about the Speaking Network is this:

  1. We made this for busy people, as well as professionals, so you get many sessions to choose from.
  2. In speaking sessions you are matched with other people in 1-1 breakout rooms, for 15-30 minutes at a time. You can leave after talking with one person, or stay and talk to more people.
  3. You can choose to match with only others at your fluency level, or with people who have similar goals as you – personal or professional.
  4. We provide structured conversation guides for each session, so you can focus on speaking instead of what to talk about.
  5. When you're not in practice sessions, you can ask questions, share learning tips, and connect by posting/commenting in our online community.

If you believe this will help you reach your personal/professional goals, apply for beta access below. We look forward to having you!

FAQ

What is the Speaking Network?

It’s an online platform for English learners (B1-C2) to practice speaking with real people.

You get flexible sessions, useful conversation guides, and a supportive online community to help you gain confidence and fluency.

How does it work?

Here's how it works:

  1. Apply for early access to the Speaking Network.
  2. Choose from a variety of practice sessions that fit your schedule.
  3. In speaking sessions you are matched with other people in 1-1 breakout rooms, for 15-30 minutes at a time. You can leave after talking with one person, or stay and talk to more people.
  4. You can choose to match with only others at your fluency level, or with people who have similar goals as you – personal or professional.
  5. We provide structured conversation guides for each session, so you can focus on speaking instead of what to talk about.
  6. Between sessions, engage in the online community to ask questions, share tips, and connect with fellow learners.
I’ve tried other ‘speaking clubs’ but didn’t improve. Why is this different?

We know other clubs can fall short. Here’s what sets this apart:

  1. More relevant practice by choosing who you want to match with in sessions.
  2. Conversation guides so you can focus on speaking, not on what to say.
  3. Plenty of session times to make it easy to practice, even with a busy schedule.
  4. A community where you can get help, share advice, and connect with fellow learners.

It’s practice that works for you, not against you, by being as simple as possible.

I’m at level B1/B2. Will I be able to keep up with the conversations?

Definitely. You’re paired with others at your level, so it’s comfortable but still stretches you a bit. The guides and community are there to back you up as you grow.

If you’re an intermediate speaker you'll especially love our online community. We have supportive members who are passionate about learning English – and if you're at least on level B1 then you know more than enough to participate here.

I'm at level C1/C2. Am I too advanced to benefit from this speaking network?

Many advanced members join to get consistent speaking practice with others chasing the same goals.

They also get exposed to fresh topics that keep their skills sharp – and many learn from helping others in sessions or in the online community.

I need to practice with native speakers. Will I find them here?

If you want to practice exclusively with native English speakers we recommend a language exchange program, where you find one partner who wants to learn your native language, and vice versa.

However, if you simply want an easy way to practice speaking English with other intermediate and advanced speakers – and you want to get exposed to different accents and topics and people – then this is a great way to build your confidence and fluency.

I’m worried about the cost. Is $29/month really worth it?

One private lesson can easily cost more than our monthly membership.

Here, for the same price (or less), you get multiple weekly sessions, unlimited community access, and a global network of learners to practice with.

The other reason we chose this price is because it ensures only the most committed people are part of our community.

So if an active community of engaged learners who value practicing English is something you resonate with, then we believe you'll be very happy here.

Plus, there’s no long-term contract or hidden fees. If you ever feel it’s not giving you the value you want, cancel anytime in two clicks.

Are there discounts available if I commit to a year, or similar?

We’re working on a yearly plan with a big discount, which is great for keeping up practice long-term.

It's not ready yet, but we'll let everyone in the community know as soon we launch it.

Can I join from my phone?

Yes, you can easily join from your phone.

You can also join from your computer. It's entirely up to you.
